What to Expect
A welcoming and peaceful setting
Starting therapy can feel like a big step and it’s completely natural to feel a little unsure of what to expect. My aim is to make the process as comfortable, clear and supportive as possible from your very first enquiry through to our final session.
The Oast House Therapy Room is located in a quiet, countryside setting in Winchfield in North Hampshire, near the Surrey border. Surrounded by open skies and fields, it offers a peaceful, private space for reflection and calm. The room itself is cosy, quiet and thoughtfully designed to help you feel at ease the moment you arrive.
You’ll find plenty of free off-road parking on site and I’m an 18–20 minute walk from Winchfield train station.
Whether you choose to come in person or meet online, my approach is always warm, welcoming, and non-judgemental. From our first conversation you’ll be met with respect, empathy and a gentle pace that meets you where you are.
The Initial Consultation
A brave first step
Your journey begins with a free 15-minute phone or Zoom consultation. This is a relaxed, informal space where we can get to know each other a little and see if we feel like the right fit to work together.
You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you like, this time is yours. I’ll answer any questions you may have. There’s no pressure to decide anything or book an appointment.
Even making this first contact takes courage. Whether you’re feeling nervous, curious or uncertain you’ll be met with warmth and understanding.
Your Therapy Journey
A personalised approach
If you decide to begin therapy, we’ll work together to shape a space that’s right for you.
My approach is pluralistic, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic models and tailor them to your individual needs. This allows us focus wherever you want to. We can work together to explore your past, understand your present or help you move towards a better future, all in a way that feels meaningful and manageable to you.
Some clients come with a clear issue they want to work through, others just feel that something isn’t quite right. You don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly where to begin. Therapy is a collaborative process and I’ll support you in finding your own path.
Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes long and take place weekly or fortnightly, depending on your needs and preferences. We’ll regularly check in to review your progress and make sure the work continues to feel helpful and relevant to you.
Ending Therapy
A thoughtful, collaborative process
There’s no set number of sessions in therapy, some people benefit from just a few, others choose to work together for longer. However long your journey is, we’ll always keep communication open so that the process of ending feels safe, respectful and planned.
Therapy doesn’t always end because something is finished, sometimes it’s about recognising that you feel stronger, more resourced or ready to continue on your own. We’ll take some time to reflect on your journey, what you’ve learned and how you can take that forward into your life.
Just as therapy begins with care, it also ends with care.
